DON'T DETOX

In our continued effort to bring you no-bs advice and information, we’re here to tell you that you cannot detox your body into shape by purchasing a special food, drink or chemical.

The people telling you that you can are trying to sell your something, they are rationalizing in order to look for a “quick fix” or they are just uninformed.  

-> Most of the reason a detox “works” for someone is because for a set amount of time they aren’t eating all the low quality foods and drinks that they normally are during the detox.  But once the detox is over, in comes the junk and out goes any short lived results they gained from the process.

But back to why you should’t detox in the first place.  Our body is already a savage at detoxing itself.  It has a liver that converts alcohol to water and carbon dioxide.  It has a pair of lungs that gathers oxygen in the air and put it into your bloodstream and protects your body from harmful substances in the air through coughing, sneezing and swallowing.  You also have a pair of kidneys that regulate and filter harmful minerals and waste in your bloodstream.  These are just a few of your body’s “detox” features.  There are many more. 

As you can see, your body has all of the detoxing features that you need already built in.  

Don’t waste time and money on hoaxes and start taking care of the body that you already have!  

Eat whole foods, not too much, mostly plants. Exercise regularly, cut back on alcohol and get more sleep than you think!
