THE MEDICINE BALL CLEAN

One of the nine foundational movements in CrossFit, the medicine ball clean builds on the deadlift and allows an athlete to pull under an object and bring it to a position of support.

We use the medicine ball clean not only as a tool to teach the pull and drop under an object but also as a conditioning element.

Don’t count this movement out as a novice activity!  With each repetition containing two squats, chaining together a hand full of these will have you respecting their function and usefulness.
