How To Build A Lean Toned Body
MUSCLE KILLS FAT
Jogging isn’t the answer.
If one of your fitness goals is to lose body fat, we can help. As we’ve talked about in our nutrition posts, you have to be eating less calories than you’re burning, but there are other things we can do to optimize the process.
By focusing your training on building muscle by lifting increasingly heavier weights, you increase your lean mass (muscle). The muscle on your body burns more calories per pound than the fat on your body does. Not to mention that most of us wouldn’t mind looking a little more muscular.
Jogging and other forms of cardio are simply not optimal for fat loss. They do burn calories while being performed but the calories burned AFTER jogging pale in comparison to the calories burned AFTER weight training.
Trust us, focus on building muscle for a few months and see the results for yourself.
