IT STARTS WITH Nutrition (Part 3)
EAT REAL FOOD
“Eat meat, vegetables, nuts & seeds, a little starch and no sugar.” -The CrossFit Journal
Replace some of the processed foods you eat with homemade items. This is easy to do if you stay on the perimeter of the grocery store and avoid the processed foods in the aisles.
Here are some example substitutions: Skip the deli meat and bake chicken breasts. Drop the crackers and make a pot of rice or a few sweet potatoes. Toss the nutrition bar and eat a few almonds and berries. Chop veggies and use them as snacks.
Don’t try to do everything at once. Start small and make a new substitution every week. Sustainability and consistency are the keys to success.
