Does The Sugar in Fruit Make You Fat?

Are you afraid of fruit? Will fruit make you fat?

I know that there are people who recommend not eating fruit, for fear that it'll go straight to the thighs!   

We're here to tell you that the benefits of fruit are plentiful and that they should be a part of your nutrition plan.  They are rich in vitamins, fiber and carbohydrates to give you energy. 

Just like all things nutrition related, you need to make fruit fit into your overall plans/goals.  The caloric and macronutrient breakdown of all fruit is readily available on the interwebs.  Google your favorites and see how they stack up.  

Our favorites are grapes, apples, berries and watermelon. 

One way to get de-railed by fruit is to consume fruit juice.  It's very easy to over do it on calories with fruit juice.  8 oz of orange juice has 25 grams of carbohydrates and just over 100 calories.  That's a potent dose for something that you don't get to chew.  

So, eat fruit.  But make it fit into your plan.
