What Is The Safest Way To Deadlift? (Step by Step)
What is a deadlift?
A deadlift is simply moving a weight (a barbell in this case) from the floor to a standing position. Deadlifts are an incredible exercise for building full body strength and muscle.
A lot of people avoid doing deadlifts because they’re afraid of getting hurt, or they’ve experienced pain while doing them in the past.
If that’s you, we have you covered.
By the way… We just dropped the only resource you’ll ever need for nailing the perfect, safe deadlift every single time.
We covered everything from the right shoes to wear, to selecting the right weight, and even threw in a sample training program too.
We call it “The Ultimate Deadlift Guide”. - Grab it today before it’s too late by clicking the Yellow Button below.
How to do deadlifts without getting hurt
Before you pull, check a few things:
- Is your back flat?
- Are your knees out of the way of the barbell?
- Are your chest & shoulders squeezed up?
If not, we need to get you fixed up by following our 5-Step Deadlift Setup below.
The Perfect Deadlift Setup
👉 EVERY SINGLE TIME you set up, go through the 5-STEP SET UP & your position will be perfect!
1. Stance: Hip width, shins one inch from barbell
2. Grip: Take your grip with unbent knees and without rolling the barbell
3. Shins: Bring your shins to the barbell without rolling the barbell
4. Chest: Squeeze your chest up to flatten your back
5. Pull: With a giant held breath, pull the barbell up along your shins
