THE BARBELL

We have many choices of different modalities and equipment when it comes to training.  Here at Digital Barbell, we gravitate toward the Barbell as the primary tool used in our pursuit of health, strength and fitness.  

So why is that?  It's fairly simple actually.  A barbell is ergonomically perfect.  It fits exactly in the grip of the hand.  It can be used for it's purpose directly over the balance point of the body (the center of the foot), which is the safest position for a load to be.  And just as critical, it can accommodate an almost infinitely adjustable load.  That means this tool can be used by both a rank novice and and elite athlete for the same task but with a different load.  

We can continue to use the barbell to build strength and fitness throughout our lives since we can continue to adjust the loading of it up and down.  It helps us stay strong for life!  

Just with anything we do in the gym, it's important to find a qualified coach who can teach you how to use the barbell safely and correctly.
