COTTAGE CHEESE

When was the last time you had cottage cheese?

My Mom always had it in the house when I was growing up and I had forgotten about until recently.  It’s darn near a super food!

It’s packed with protein and is relatively low in fat and carbohydrates.  There are even options available with zero fat if you are tight on calories.  

One serving of 2% cottage cheese is a cup and contains 23g of protein, 5g of fat and 10g of carbs.  That is a pretty amazing breakdown.  

If you struggle to get enough protein in during the day, consider having a serving or two of cottage cheese as a snack or as an after dinner dessert with some cinnamon sprinkled on top.
