CALORIES MATTER 

We’re going to keep preaching the simple honest truth when it comes to weight management even in the face of trendy diets and charlatans out there with things to sell. 

Calories matter.  Keto, Adkins, Weight Watchers, Paleo, Quick Weight Loss Centers, Primal Diet… IT DOESN’T matter what diet!  Caloric balance is what controls weight loss.  

Your body is an amazingly complex and adaptable system that uses food (calories for energy).  It’s always striving for homeostasis.  If you eat more calories than you need, your body will store it as fat for future energy demands.  If you eat less calories than it needs, it will dip into your existing fat stores for energy.  

Scientifically, it’s that simple.  Practically, it can be hard to sustain.
