Hey you, yes you.  You should be lifting heavy weights.  Why you ask? 

Let's start with the vain reasons.  

- It makes your muscles bigger and stronger.  (aka, you'll look more "toned" and "built").

- It builds functional strength so you can go do awesome things in the world that require physical strength. 

- It builds mental toughness and confidence. 

How about the health benefits?

- It increases bone density.

- It burns a whole lot of fat (more than cardio)

- It helps maintain muscle mass as we age. 

- It increases testosterone
