We fell off track

Blakley and I are “off-track” with our fitness right now.

On Wednesday, we planned to work out after our weekly call with Coach Haley and recording the podcast, but it didn’t happen.

We said we’d do it Thursday morning.

We had every intention to follow through, but after reviewing our clients’ workouts and doing my nutrition client check-ins, we went straight into loading the last pieces of furniture into the trailer for a storage run.

Fast forward eight hours, and it’s 5:00 PM. And although we’d taken 15,000 steps, we skipped our workout. Again.

I have a feeling something similar has happened to you once or twice in your life.

You intend to do something—hit your workout or eat a healthy meal.

But things go differently, and for any number of reasons (both real and made-up), you don’t follow through.

It’s the human condition.

I want to tell you something important, so lean in or pinch your screen.

Out of our 100+ clients, the ones who have had the most success…

The ones who have transformed their health, lives, and bodies…

They aren’t the ones who miraculously avoid situations that throw them off track.

They’re busy moms, dads, and professionals just like you.

Falling “off-track” is impossible.

The successful people I’m talking about have mastered the art of getting “back on track” as soon as possible.

I’d go as far as to say that once you get past the basic science of nutrition and the mechanics of doing a squat… the most important part of a coach’s job is teaching their clients how to do just that.

Get back on track ASAP.

So instead of beating yourself up for not following through, just make the next right decision NOW instead of waiting to restart on Monday.

It’s as simple as that.

For us, that means getting our workout in today. Follow our story on Instagram to hold us accountable.

P.S. Even though we have nine days until we officially head out, the house is empty, and we’re driveway camping in the Airstream.
