What to expect

The Muscle Makeover is 4 workouts per week ranging from 60-90 minutes each.

When your program begins, you’ll be assigned a coach, and get access to the True Coach app.

Here you’ll be able to view your workouts, log your results, and connect with your coach.

Workout any time of day that fits your schedule.

Every exercise has a video demo, and full instructions so you’ll know exactly what to do.

Throughout your program, your coach will review your workouts and periodically request form check videos so you’ll know that you are doing things correctly, and progressing at the right pace.

What you’ll need

Previous barbell experience with back squats, deadlifts, bench press, and overhead press.

Access to a barbell, a variety of weights, a rack, a bench, a variety of dumbbells, and bands.

The Muscle Makeover program can be done at home with a full garage gym set up, or in a commercial gym setting.

New groups of Muscle Makeover start on the first Monday of each month (given it isn’t a holiday).

Muscle Makeover FAQ

What equipment do I need?

  1. Barbell and plates

  2. Squat rack

  3. Bench

  4. Bands or a pulley machine

  5. A pull up bar

  6. A jump rope.

  7. A hip circle (band that goes around your knees).

  8. Dumbbells in pairs (~5-35lbs for ladies, 10-50+lbs for men).

  1. What kind of exercises am I going to be doing? - Barbell squats, presses, deadlifts and bench presses as well as accessory work like curls, flys, tricep extensions, pull ups, pull downs using bands or machines, etc.

  2. Do I have to work out at a certain time of day? - Nope! You'll see your workout for the day in the app, but you're free to do it on your own schedule. 

  3. What happens if I miss a workout or if I’m going to be on vacation for a week during the program? - Don't sweat it. Reach out to your coach through the chat feature in the app and they'll let you know what to do. 

  4. What if I can’t do all of the movements? - We have you covered. Everything is scalable to any level; just reach out. We all start somewhere. 

  5. Do I need experience? - Yes! You need barbell experience in the squat, press, deadlift and bench press before beginning the Muscle Makeover. If you don’t have experience, Custom Coaching would be a better fit for you! 

  6. How hard are the workouts? - Just hard enough! But really... They're the perfect balance of challenging and doable. Plus, your coach will help you scale anything you’re not comfortable with.
